Hi,

I'm working with a multiphase flow and I encountered a problem.

Let's say a flow from Inlet A flows through a tunnel and exists at Outlet B. Now there is a pipe (C) connected at the top middle of the tunnel with a flow into the tunnel. The flow of C should be the same as at the outlet B. So B and C are kind of like connected.

So my question is, is there a boundary condition for C to connect the velocity (and other parameters like alpha for multiphase flow) to the Inlet-Boundary B?

Thanks for your help!

Hi, it would have been better if you attached a picture of your domain.

From my understanding, I dont see why would you need a boundary at the intersection of B and C. There would be only one outlet and that would be for C pipe.

Hi,
A Good Day to you.

In my opinion, this would be a good case to use the groovyBC boundary condition which comes as part of the swak4Foam library.

You can force the inlet flow at C to be equal to the outlet flow at B.

Search for groovyBC coupling on the forum and on Google.

Regards,
Philippose
