Hi guys,
I want to perform a adjoint shape optimization using a 2D airfoil in compressible range. Since there is a adjointShapeSolver for internal flows already in OF implemented, is there also any free one for external flows? Maybe one of you have a good tutorial how to adapt the solver for compressible aerodynamics with the RBF Method or anything which you suggest. Thanks in advance, |

See if you can get your hands on this paper. It uses the same method as the implemented adjoint solver and can thus be converted to your external shape optimization.
"Continuous Adjoint Methods for Turbulent Flows, Applied Shape and Topology Optimization: Industrial Applications" by E.M. Papoutsis-Kiachagias and K.C. Giannakoglou Very thorough but helpful paper, they probably have some reference to what you seek. |
