Hi everyone,

this might be a simple question but I stumbled across this recently:

When I solve a case with sonicFoam, which pressure does the resulting p field actually refer to? Having Bernoulli's definition in mind, is it the static pressure, the dynamic pressure or the total pressure, which is the sum of all?

In either case, when I am interested in the mass density rho or the particle density n = N/V of my fluid, can I use the ideal gas equation p = n k_b T = rho R_s T to calculate these values from the resulting p and T fields of the sonicFoam solver?

Although this might be a simple question for someone, I would still appreciate the input
