Bulk Viscosity
 

Dear all,

you may know that I have the book out named "Mathematics, Derivations, Numerics and OpenFOAM". However, I am still a human and improve the book. At the moment I am searching for literature to proof the stuff about the volumetric, dilitation, bulk viscosity that is described in the attached PDF.

If that is true, I have to change a few things in my book. Based on the fact that I want to understand the things but get messed up with all different explanations in literature, I want to get all the wrong/misleading things to discuss it in my book and give some advice.

For example, in Bird et. al. the shear rate tensor includes the bulk-viscosity which is based on that thread (https://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ma...viscosity.html) not the bulk viscosity.

Any advice is appreciated and warmly welcomed as well as references.
