Object Free Falling Simulation

Hi all,

I'm trying to model an object in free fall until it reaches its terminal velocity. I'm just using sliding meshes similar to the propeller tutorial cases with spherical AMI surfaces. My current method is by using the 6 DOF features of the pimpleDyMFoam solver coupled with time dependent boundary conditions. The relative velocities Ux, Uy and Uz at the boundaries can be calculated from the forces data at each time step but since this is done manually, i had to rerun the cases again and again just to input the calculated velocities and i find it nearly impossible to continue this beyond 0.5 seconds (due to the exponential increment of computation time).

Is it possible to modified the solver in order to update the relative velocities by itself at each time step? I was trying to include force function results in the velocity equation of the solver code but just don't know where to start. Any clue? Thanks.
