OpenFOAM parallel run processor error

Hi everyone,
I am trying to run a parallel simulation in OpenFOAM. When i choose 56 processors, i get the following error. When i use 28 processors, it works just fine. But for some reason, i can not use 56 processors for analysis.

''/***/***/***/***/system/decomposeParDict" specifies 56 processors but job was started with 28 processors.

Is there anyone who could help me with this problem?

I have had issues like that when the mpi instance was not properly configured on the cluster. If you're running this through a scheduler, I suggest ensuring that the number of cores you're telling openfoam to use is identical to the number of cores requested from the scheduler. Furthermore, you may need to check if the cluster/scheduler can reliably do mpi runs across any number of nodes/cores.

Hi Collin,

Thank you for the suggestion. As you have mentioned, I was running the simulation on a cluster. After re-installing the mpi, my problem has resolved and now i can run simulations properly.
