k-omega-v2 model implementation in OpenFOAM
Hi All,
If any body has tried implementing k-omega-v2 model in OpenFOAM? Regards, Smruti |
Good idea!

Hi,
Have you got the model working? I have just finished my one. I have got some mistypes in the Lopez and Walters 2015 model. I need to test it before delivery. What is the Openfoam version that you are using? Best regards, Icaro |
Hi Icaro,
Thanks for trying this. I have not worked in coding this. But definitely, I can help you validate the model. I have some flow scenario in transition region. Earlier, I have used kklOmega model for finding pressure drop calculation, when water flows over a perforated sheet. That study, I have validated with respect to Idlechick, Handbook of hydrodynamic resistance. kklOmega was varying between 5-20% for low Reynold's number flows ( < 10000, internal flows). You can give me a link of the model. Regards, Smruti |
Sorry Smrutimaya,
I have got some issues about the implementation of the v2 k omega model while validating it. Probably some mistype in the work of Lopez and Walters but I am not sure. When it is validated, I am going to send the model working. Best regards, Icaro |
Okay .... Great ... i will also go through the paper in detail ....

Hi, attached is the implementation by me. However, I did not get satisfactory results. I'm not sure whether York's modification to Cmu is needed as in the original paper by Dhakal frequently referred to York's work.

current status?
Hi all,
did you progress in this new transition model? Where can I find something about the York`s modification? Thank you very much |
