Am quite new to this and also to much of the supporting maths and setup for the various solvers so have been seriously struggling to get a grip on many aspects. I did however find an app called simFlow. I can best describe this as an expert system front end to setup and run various openfoam solvers in the background. It wont run on Ubuntu 17.04 ( Sept' maybe) but seems to work well enough on 16.04 with OF 4.1 and PV5.0. In the main it enables greater productivity because it largely avoids the need to use the command line. It's strange but two days ago I was thinking maybe someone (with better ability than myself) could write a front end and then 24 hrs ago, by accident I stumbled across this. And for post processing there is a button to produce a VTK and fire up Paraview. There is a free download suitable for beginners and a paid option for the heavy lifters. is offline   Reply With Quote
