Hi Foamers!
I'm doing LES simulations with a turbulent inlet generator. I recently realized that my inlet generator produces strong pressure vibrations that distort the statistical properties of my results. My idea is to use a second domain, that I will place in front of the inlet of my main-domain. Then I could use the turbulent inlet generator as inlet condition of my pre-domain, where the pressure velocity coupling takes place , and subsequently map the velocity data of the outlet of the pre-domain to the inlet of the main-domain. The pressure boundary condition at the inlet of the main-domain could be set to zero-gradient to mitigate the strong pressure vibrations. I never did any multi-domain simulations. How can this be done? Any help is very much appreciated! Both domains should be solved simultaneously. Cheers, Lukas |
