Deformable object

Dear Foamers,

I'm new in OpenFoam, and my goal is to simulate a deformable elastic sphere suspended in flow.
The surface of the sphere is considered as a fluid membrane surrounding another fluid.
I would like to control the deformation forces on the membrane.
I need to know which solver I should consider for this case (interfoam or dpmfoam ...) or if I have to compute a new one ? I don't know from where I should start.

No one for some guidance ?

Hi piranha007 are you still working on this? The closest available (that I'm aware of) is sdfibm, which implements the immersed boundary method for rigid bodies. I am working on modifying this code to include deformable bodies, but it's still early days.

Hi Marks thanks for your answer. I actually worked with the Boundary element method as I was interested only on the interface. Thanks for your suggestion and good luck.

Hi,

I'm trying to work on something similar. How far have you managed to get with it?
