cannot visualize the lagrangian data using Paraview from OpenFOAM 5.0

Hello,
When I load the lagrangian data generated OpenFOAM 5.x, I always meet a problem from the data about the particle position. Since OpenFOAM 5.0, it seems that new algorithms have been used for lagrangian particle tracking: https://cfd.direct/openfoam/free-sof...tric-tracking/. However, it makes the particle date visualization a little bit difficult. I am not sure if any of you also have the same problem. I attached the snapshot here and please check that. I directly run "paraFoam" in the working directory, and the version of paraview is 5.4.0. Thanks! OFFO |
I have met this before.
You should use paraFoam in OF-5.0. |
Thank you very much. Which version did you use for OpenFOAM 5.0? The source pack?
There are several from the below link: https://openfoam.org/version/5-0/ Thanks! Quote:

I used this: sudo apt-get -y install openfoam5
And I think others are OK. |
Thanks. You do this directly in linux or install a linux subsystem in windows? Thanks!

I have tried both. Both are OK!

OK, I will try as well. Thank you very much for your help.
I previously used blueCFD, i.e. run OF in windows, it does not work. Quote:

Hi Zhang Yan,
I tried to install ubuntu on Win 10, following the procedures given here: https://openfoam.org/download/windows-10/ Everything is fine now. When I tried to run one tutorial in OpenFOAM 5.0, I go the attached error about write permission. Did you also have this issue? How did you resolve this? Thanks! Quote:

Sorry, I didn't have the same problem.

I solved the problem - thanks.
