visualize the particle with various diameter using Paraview

Hello All,

I got the results from lagrangian solver in OpenFOAM. Now I can visualize the particle using paraview. As you may know, the quantities of these particles, like T and U, can be represented with the color of the particle surface. Is it possible to use the size of the particle to visualize the particle? For example, large particle with large diameter or high temperature. Thanks!

Use the "Glpyh" filter in paraView, and "Sphere" as glyph type. Select as scaleMode "scalar" and choose your scalar of interest.

Dear Gerhard,

Thank you - yes, this is what I want as shown in your attachment. Thanks.

With newer paraview (5.5, but maybe earlier too) you can just choose a glyph representation for point data directly instead of bothering with a filter. The point gaussian representation also got a lot better (and faster) - you can have spheres or just plain circles too.

I haven't done proper testing, but read on the paraview lists that the updated point gaussian should be faster than the glyph filter (if I remember correctly).
