What should be the optimum dimension of the C-Domain around a NACA0012 Airfoil for laminar as well as turbulence modeling in terms of chord length?

My rule of thumb is to go a bit further than I initially guess.


Other than that, this would form part of a validation study to look at the effects on the parameters that you are interested in as the distance to the boundary changes.
