Axes (global origin) of paraview

Default Axes (global origin) of paraview

Hello Foamers,



A bit of naive question, where is the global origin at the paraFoam, I am using paraview 5.01 and found that two origins at the same frame of graph. One is the intersection of green and red lines (got from the option center axis visibility) and other from the grid lines (got from the option of visibility if Edit Axes Grid). Which should be considered as the origin of the coordinate system?

My objective is to confirm that the center of mass of the CAD model is at the origin (0,0,0) which I think is an important parameter in dynamicMeshDict for defining the center of rotation for propeller tutorial. Thus it will be helpful if any one can confirm this point. I had already posted my problem in CFDonline thread to get some help for the propeller case. I hope to short out the origin of CAD model will eventually help me to set up the simulations. Hope you understand and will help me in this regard.

Select the patch you want to visualize in paraview and click on information which is next to the properties, you'll find all the information regarding its orientation

Many Thanks Kmeti Rao for your reply and help. I am using Paraview 5.01 and in the properties I could see the size, extend of the patches, etc. I don't know how you are able to see the orientation etc. Also, I think I was not clear in my question, my question was: what is the origin of the screenshot, is it the intersection of green and red lines (got from the option center axis visibility) and other from the grid lines (got from the option of visibility if Edit Axes Grid). Hope now I am clear in my question, if not, I will try to explain in depth.

I am extremely thank to you for your help and support.
