KTGF modelling

Hi all,
i'm asking a question since i've tried to figure it by miself but i failed. I want to use the KTGF model inside openFOAM to model something that is not under continous fluidification.
I.e. i want to start to model a sand hourglass with full CFD (eulerian). I have read the main scientific articles about KTGF and for what i understood it should be achievable, however i have the fear that this model is suitable only for fluidized beds with a continous flow without any kind of sedimentation.

Can anyone give me an advice?
thank you so much

Andrea
