Gas phase velocity not affecting surface film

2 Attachment(s)
Hello FOAMers,

The case I'm working on is a flow over a flat plate that is inclined with respect to the horizontal. There is an injection of particles midway along the plate. The flow should move the surface film formed towards the back end of the plate. However, the surface film seems to only be acted upon by gravity.

The attached screenshots show the boundary layer over the plate and the subsequent movement of the wall film. The red circle is where the injection happens.

My question is - how does the surface film model account for forces from the gas phase? How many cells from the gas phase mesh are used to compute the force from the velocity of the gas phase?
