Near-field noise simulation
Dear All,
I am new to OpenFOAM and would like to study aero acoustic simulation using OpenFOAM. When I went through some documents, I got to know about the following; 1) near-field noise simulation : CFD output (pressure fluctuations) is converted to sound pressure. 2) far-field noise simulation : CFD output(pressure fluctuations) is given as input to acoustic analogies like FW-H, Curle etc. If the sound source and observer are located close to each other, 1) can we use near-field noise simulation instead of far-field noise simulation? 2) Which method is expected to give better results? near-field or far-field? NOTE: I am using propeller example(pimpleDyMFoam) available in OpenFOAM for my study. Kindly provide your inputs and suggestions. Thanks, Danya |
Have u done this work im interested in this work too. Could u provide me a case files please.
