Conductive Heat Transfer in OpenFoam??

Hi everyone, i am new to OpenFoam and Linux, and i have a quick question: Is there a way to calculate conductive heat transfer from a fluid to a solid, for example :Using water film to cool the high temperature wall, I just want to know the temperature-field of the solid part ... Thanks a lot, Flo

Hi,

- Is there any chance for you to reduce the scope of your question, if possible? In my humble opinion, the questions are a bit broad, hence less people would be able to help you.

All the best.

Hi all,

quick answer to a quick question:
  • Yes you can calculate heat-transfer from fluid to solid
  • Yes you can also use film models for that; but I never investigated into that topic but in the Foundation repository, the improved a lot in this regard

Thank you very much for your reply, by the way, which solver is suitable for this situation

Thank you very much for your reply, such as cooling a small high-temperature wall with a water film, I want to know the temperature field of the wall, what solver should be suitable for this case
