How to use OpenFOAM to solve the motion of two solid bodies with detached mesh?
For example, there are side by side ships (two ships). There is a sloshing tank on each ship. For each sloshing tank, the motion of each sloshing tank is different. The motion of both ships will be transferred into OpenFOAM using a time domain solver to the sloshing tanks. Then two sloshing tanks move according to its own motion and the forces for both tanks will be accumulated and output to the external time domain ship motion solver. Does anybody run into similar problem? Could you advise how to implement? Should I use multiple regions for different tanks or one region be ok? |
