anna_93 is on a distinguished road
Hello everybody.

up to now, I gained my first experience in openfoam in the simulation of combustions. So far, Up to now I have dealt with gaseous fuels in all simulations (reactingFoam). My new project is about simulating an oxyfuel process in which coal is used as fuel in a carrier stream. How do I handle the solid fuel? In the User Guide I found the chapter "Particle tracking flows". The solver coalChmistryFoam sounds promising, unfortunately I can not understand the associated tutorial properly and have not found any further explanation. Furthermore, the fuel (coal) is to be replaced by film waste. Can I still use the coalChemistryFoam solver and only change any parameters or is this not possible? How do I handle the new fuel?

I am very grateful for tips and suggestions.
