When I try to run the sphereDrop example in OpenFOAM v2106 and v2112, I immediately get an error:
Code:
Maximum number of iterations exceeded: 100 when starting from T0:300 old T:5.593010375e+14 new T:5.593010375e+14 f:2.346267852e+18 p:82949.12625 tol:0.03 |

Can you give more details?
The compressibleInterDyMFoam sphereDrop tutorial runs fine for me on v2112 on WSL. Yann |

I'm running it on Ubuntu 21.10. I have made no changes to the case files. I tried to run it in both serial and parallel with the same results.

I'm sorry I cannot really help much here since I don't have Ubuntu 21.10 running in order to reproduce your problem.
Did you compile OpenFOAM yourself or did you install the precompiled packages with apt? Yann |
