Questions about atmPlantCanopyTurbSource _OpenFOAM V2012
 

Hello,everyone!

I want to simulate the airflow around trees using OpenFOAM. I checked the codes of OpenFOAM V2012 and found the aerodynamic effects of trees can be treated by adding source terms to CFD equations using atmPlantCanopyUSource and atmPlantCanopyTurbSource. The atmPlantCanopyTurbSource can apply sources on either epsilon or omega to incorporate effects of plant canopy for atmospheric boundary layer modelling. But it seems not correcting the turbulence kinetic energy, namely k. I am very confused about this. Does anyboday have some idea for this?
