Thank you all for your help. My name is Issei and I have been studying openfoam since last month.
The version I am currently using is openfoam-v2112. I am trying to check the movement of fluid in a cylinder that moves back and forth like a piston. The solver is using pimple(DyM)Foam and the dynamicInkJetFvMesh is reproducing the motion of the piston. The motion is ideal, but I am having trouble confirming the flow in the cylinder. I would think that the piston movement would create some flow, but I cannot confirm any such flow, and it seems as if there is no fluid in the cylinder. I would like to know if there is any possible cause as to why the fluid cannot be confirmed. I am attaching the stl I created, a photo of the flow velocity after 5 seconds, and a video of the results. stl.jpg clip.jpg https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZxD...ew?usp=sharing |
