hi everyone,
can multiphaseInterFoam use population balance modelling? i know i can use population balance modelling with multiphaseEulerFoam solver, but i wonder to know either multiphaseInterFoam solver can do this or not. thanks in advance. |

Hi,
multiphaseInterFoam uses VOF principle to calculate multiphase flow. The population balance model makes use of the population balance PDE, which is designed specifically for multiphase solvers that simulate disperse flows and do not simulate the exact interface between phases (such as VOF solvers). |
