Self-gravity in OpenFOAM
I am totally newbie in OpenFOAM, I am currently trying to determine if OpenFOAM could be a good tool for my research topic which is convection in stars. The problem is that a star is a self-gravitating object.
At the first sight, since openFOAM has been mainly thought for engineering problems, no solver including self gravity has ever been developed. Here we need to solve compressible Euler/Navier-Stokes, the flow is in transonic regime. I have never heard of openFOAM being used in astrophysics yet, still it seems to be a great tool, so has maybe anybody of you heard about that or have any idea of the feasibility of such a solver within OpenFOAM ?
