Dear Foamers,
I try to use reactingFoam to simulate a reacting flow with shrinkage of volume due to reaction. For example 2A -> B. I tried to understand the mechanism of reactingFoam: It seems that reactingFoam performs only a manipulation of the Y_i durring reaction step, but that would mean, that the density rho, the pressure p and the velocity U will remain unchanged. Therefore a shrinkage of volume due to reaction would not occur. Does anybody of you have the same problem or can give me a hint what I missunderstood? Thanks for any reply, K.C. |
