Need help to open an OpenFoam case with Paraviw

Hello

I'm using OpenFoam on a Linux platform to do the tutorials. I use paraView to visualize the case but i'm using it on a Windows platform (I can acces to the Linux directories from Windows).

I already runned the lid-driven cavity case.
My problem here is that I can't find out how to open the OpenFoam case file from paraView.
The OpenFoam user guide shows how to use it on a linux platform only: In this case I only need to run ParaView from the case directory and it opens it directly (mesh, datas, etc.). With Windows, it seems that I must open some OpenFoam file manually, but I can't find any to open.

Does anyone know how to open a Foam case on a Windows ParaView ?

Thanks !

Dear aaurouss,

The reader module reads OF files directly into memory and is loaded when you start paraFoam. The reader module ONLY works under Linux because it links the native IO from the library.

Alternatively, there is a converter which creates vtk files which you can then read into paraview. This application is called foamToVTK.
