the new viscoelastic Modell in openFOAM1.5-dev

hello

i just finde that in the new openfoam1.5-dev version there is a new visoelastic modell that is done by (J OVANI L UIZ FAVERO from U NIVERSIDADE F EDERAL DO R IO G RANDE DO S UL)

so i would like to work with it

and the next step i do

1. i take-copy the file called viscoelastic and the data Allmake (from the new version OpenFOAM1.5-dev)

2. i add thes files to my (about 2 or tow months older openfoam1.5-dev) and then after adding that in the src/transportmodell ..... at the same place where i take it from

and then i take a shell and wirte ./Allmake

is that enogh and ok??

how can i use them with the simplefoam solver?

If you got the 1.5-dev via SVN in the first place, then the easiest way to get all the new stuff is by saying "svn update" in the OpenFOAM-1.5-dev-directory. Everything new will be pulled from the server. Of course you'll have to recompile your installation.

There is a special solver for viscoelastic flow, but don't ask me about the name (I don'T know)

Dear Tajoooko,

the solver lives here:
/home/foam/OpenFOAM/openfoam-extend/applications/solvers/viscoelastic

Jovanni and the viscoelastic people meet here:

VOF-Viscoelastic Model

Hi,

I saw a few notes on VOF-Viscoelastic / Viscoelastic model implemented in OpenFOAM. However, the released versions do not have this solver. Can you give a link from where I can download this solver? Also, let me know how to compile this with OpenFOAM-1.6

Thanks a lot,

Sanjib

https://openfoam-extend.svn.sourcefo...nFOAM-1.5-dev/ take a look what you find all in the dev version

svn co https://openfoam-extend.svn.sourcefo.../viscoelastic/
and
svn co https://openfoam-extend.svn.sourcefo...sticFluidFoam/
just to get the viscoelastic stuff. Make sure you have the nescessary SVN packages installed!

look for http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/members/jovani.html
better http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/sea...induser&u=2150 and read on the answers jovani gave compiling 1.6

Maybe it is best to take 1.5-dev (but you have to compile from scratch but it is worth the work!)
