Hi everybody,

does somebody know what happen with the colour....

I generate a channel and solve it in simpleFoam. When I open it in paraview,
it seems to be volocity on the walls in the entering reagion (and there is "no slip condition"). The colour is very nice but why is there some colour?
Must not it be 0?

Thanks

If it's just in the cells that are shared by your entering patch and your walls, it is normal, because the velocity in these cells is the entry one, so velocity shown by paraview is the cell one.

If not, no other idea for the moment.
Hope it helps.

Thank you for your idea. It seems reasonable.
I just wondered beucaus when I tested the same geometry for laminar
flow the cells in the inlet region was with v=0. Hmmm
But it could be true what you say.

Thanks and best regards to Grenoble
