How can I learn advanced parts of OpenFOAM?

Hi everybody,

I am using OpenFoam for nearly 3 months and I have read its documents (user manual and programmer manual), but I can not use the advanced abilities of it like editing the source files.

Please excuse me for asking such a question, but can anyone tell me how can I learn the advanced parts of the OpenFoam? In other words what is the easiest way to learn using OpenFoam with its complete effectiveness.

Thanks very much

Hi Mani,

There are many companies and institutes that organize (advanced) courses in OpenFOAM. These include e.g. Wikki, Icon, OpenCFD, Gompute,University of Zagreb (FSB) in Croatia and Chalmers University in Sweden. Also, Icon organizes courses at/around the Open Source CFD Conference 2009. Just search for "advanced course OpenFOAM" in Google and you'll find a lot.

Regards,

Gijs
