From gmsh to OpenFOAM
Hi there,
I have a .msh file I created using gmsh 2.4. I can not convert it in a format readable with OpenFOAM. Could you help me? How can I do that? Thanks a lot, samuele |
did you try with command gmshToFoam ?
|
Of course I do...
But I think I need the gmsh2ToFoam... But you have to compile it and it is pretty a problem. Do you know any other way-out? |
Sorry I do not have sufficient idea about gmsh2ToFoam,
hope u will get solution soon to your problem |
do you put the face names and so on in the .msh by your self?! i had the same probleme but i found a way by typing the face names by my self in the .msh data
and after that i had but the .msh data in the case directory (the constant --> polymesh directory is without nothig) then i have typ gmshToFoam and it works pretty good but i have to say that the msh qualtiy is not so good for Openfoam so he have to itterate alot and some time he stops bcz of the courant number |
Ok, thanks for help.
Could you write me an email (@ samuele.zampini@gmail.com ) so that I can send you the file and - if you feel like - you can help me in editing it? Thanks a lot, Samuele |
