Hello!

I'm modelling a small cube inside a big one. (obstacle in a room).
Is it possible do model this case with just two blocks (room and obstacle, so that the obstacle is like a hole in the room) in blockMeshDict or do I have to create blocks around the obstacle like it is shown in example cases?

Hi,

I am pretty sure that this is the case where you will have to do a multi-block geometry around a smaller cube. But at the end you will end up with perfectly orthogonal mesh.

Good luck,
Primoz.

Not really - since you have "square geometry" (cube in a cube) should not be that much of a problem...
