parabolic solver

I'm a new openfoam user and I had 2 questions:

1. Does anybody know if it is possible to run OpenFoam using a parabollic solver / parabollic Navier Stokes equations?

This is: neglecting the pressure and diffusive terms in the main flow direction and solve 2D sections from the inlet till the outlet instead of solving the global 3D domain.

2. Is it possible to run Openfoam from Windows through a Linux-emulator tool like Xming/putty?

Thanks indeed,

Daniel
