Hi Foamer,
I have been banging on walls to make dieselFoam and sprayFoam to model diesel spray combustion for a while but to no avail. I made 2D wedge case mesh with chem.inp chemkin model on foam-extend-3.0. The chemkin model chemkin.inp.full was tested functional with chemfoam with OpenFOAM-2.2.x. Attached below is my case setup. The temperature kept dropping below 200 and was saved by HJ (Good reason to do so and thank you for saving my time). There must something wrong with my case setup that cause rapid evaporation and drop the temperature below 200K. Is it the time-step too large? Is it the mean particle too small? Is parcel speed to large? Or my mesh is just broken. Or the JANAF model is broken or inappropriate. Any pointers on what's my next move will be greatly appreciated.
