Which meshing tool would you prefer for this?

Hello all,

I have the task to mesh a geometry that looks like the skit I attached. As you see it has a lot of "holes". The actual geometry that I have to model has even way more such holes, so that I am unassure if I should try meshing this with blockMesh.

Are there other meshers, which would allow to model this complex geometry faster than with the all manual blockMesh?

Salome for the geometry generation and structured mesh would be a fine approach.

Another would be to create the geometry using google sketchup or Salome and use Netgen to create an unstructured mesh.

Best

I would also prefer Salome, export as unv, then ideasUNVToFoam this.

Do you have access to a 3D-CAD programm?

If not, what about Blender http://www.openfoamworkshop.org/08/p...FOAMCharts.pdf
