Problem with capturing water-spreading for free surface flow

Hi all,

I run a 3-D analysis for flow over flat surface. Its free surface (two phase - water + air) flow. Here I want to capture 2 things as follows:

1. I want to capture ONLY Water spreading on flat surface. since OpenFOAM only permit SINGLE volume mesh, there is no option for multi-volume / multiphase flow.
So this single volume contain water & air, both. Now at the end of simulation I want to capture only WATER spreading volume on flat surface.
please help me to get this into Paraview.

2. i wanted to get animation by taking Pics in any format (*.jpg, *.tif, *.png)
but I am getting one error here....

Extension: 144 (Uknown extension)
Minor opcode: 5 (Unknown request)
Resource id: 0x5d
X Error: GLXBadContext 154

/data/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.6/bin/paraFoam: line 109: 29512 Segmentation fault paraview --data="$caseFile"

please help me to sort-out this problem,:(

thanks alot

You can use option Contour to plot free surface in Paraview. This could help you to imagine how your spreaded water looks like.

Is that what you need?
