Hi
How could I apply energy equation in LES in Openfoam? I am going to simulate a channel flow.

Dear mohammad,

you should use buoyantBoussinesqPisoFoam, please see:
http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...planation.html

and
http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Bu...sinesqPisoFoam.

OpenFOAM's buoyantBoussinesqPisoFoam solver only can be used for RANS model, but you can change to both RANS and LES model.

You should use rhoPisoFoam as reference. buoyantBoussinesqPisoFoam makes the Boussinesq assumption, and you might not want that.

For a periodic channel flow you'll have to modify the code to be able to impose a constant pressure gradient or mass flow rate.

Best,
