To run makeCellSets dictionary:
Quote:
setSet -batch makeCellSet.setSet

I think your OpenFOAM is not working correct. Maybe you should reinstall it.
Did you try to run tutorial cases and foamInstallationTest script?

Hi jonya

Thank you for your attention. Yes I have tested the foamInstallationTest script and I have worked in several problems with buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam and other solvers and it works well, so I don't know what is the problem. I don't know if it is a problem with the compilation of the code. May be you have an idea.

Thanks again

David

Hi David!
Try to use setSet without -batch command by typing setSet. If it will work correct then type manually all strings from makeCellSet.setSet dictionary.
Good Luck!

Hi jonya

Sorry for my insistence, but I cannot find the solution to my problem. I installed openfoam 1.6 by using the binary codes (unpacking them in my home directory), and the foamInstallationTest gives me the expected output. My question is, have you installed it in the same way or you used other different? May be this is my problem.

Thank you very much.

David

Hi!
Make sure that you have:
Quote:
sudo apt-get install -y binutils-dev flex git git-core build-essential python-dev libqt4-dev libreadline5-dev wget zlib1g-dev cmake
I have install OF by unpacking binary and source files in the same folder. Then I did like in README:
Quote:
EITHER
if running bash or ksh (if in doubt type echo $SHELL), source the etc/bashrc file by adding the following line to the end of your $HOME/.bashrc file:
. $HOME/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.6/etc/bashrc

Then update the environment variables by sourcing the $HOME/.bashrc file by typing in the terminal:

. $HOME/.bashrc
After that I have run ./Allrun script from root OpenFOAM folder.
And only after that i checked foamInstallationTest.
Sorry for my bad english.
I hope this information will be helpfull for you.
