I have a question that I hope some of the experts here can help shed some light on. I am conducting a CFD simulation of spatially developing free convection turbulent flow over a hot vertical plate. At the inlet section of my computation, I obtained mean streamwise velocity and temperature profiles from an experiment and have been attempting to figure out if the directMapped tool in OpenFOAM will be suitable for my simulation. Because the turbulent flow is evolving because of the nonhomogeneity present in the streamwise direction, the inlet section has to be generated at every time loop. Thanks much.

Some of the OpenFOAM experts I would suppose do have a good answer to my question. Right.

Kind regards
