FireFOAM for non confined-flame modelling
Hi everyone,

I'm a beginner to use FireFOAM solver. I'd like to investigate a non-confined jet by this solver :D. I've already created my first geometry and grid by blockMesh dictionary file.
I'm trying to understand better the meaning of every file in 0 directory (How I should set the boundary conditions for the case) :confused:. I'd rather understand how I should to set the p (pressure) file before running the solver :confused:, specially for the openSide patch (used to emulate non-confined flame).
I've got the patches as follow:
symmetryPlane; (Axial-symmetry)
openSide; (Non-confined jet)
frontAndBack; (2D geometry)

Any suggestions?

You could use zeroGradient. See how far you need to put your boundary so as to minimise its effect on your solution.

Do you need to specify velocity as well? That could be slip or fixedValue.

Where could I find out few documents about it?

Dear Buddies
I want to use fireFoam for simulating DLR flame (Fuel: CH4-H2-N2 and Oxidizer: air); I think I have set my case in proper state; However, After running my case it seems that the jets are still in cold situation and the combustion did not started :confused::confused::confused:; Would some body please hint me what is the problem? I can upload the necessary files i.e. combustion, chemistry, reaction or anythng else:)
