how the interface between 2 solid regions is treater in chtMultiRegionFoam ?

Hi!

I am interested in the chtMultiRegionFoam solver. In fact I don't need the fluid part of this solver since (for the moment) I only need to simulate the diffusion of fields trough 2 motionless regions.

So in my simulations I only set up 2 solid regions and 0 fluid region.

I wonder how the interface between the 2 solid regions is treated ? Is the solidWallMixedTemperatureCoupled BC is suitable ?

Moreover, I don't understand why the Diffusion coefficient, the density and the heat capacity as considered as variable fields ? If it is really that, it is possible to simulate my problem with the laplacianFoam solver and a diffusion coefficient field whom the value depends on the region ?

Thank for your clarifications

Ok! I have a answer to my questions ! I just modified the laplacianFoam solver : I declared the diffusivity DT as a variable scalarField and then I patched this field with different value according to the region.

It is an easiest way than the chtMultiRegionFoam solver and it works well for my applications.

Did you verify your result ??
