Of 1.6-dev ???

Hello Foamers,
does anyone know when OF 1.6-dev is coming out? I heard some rumors, but I couldn't find any 'official' news...

Hi,

if you desperately need OF 1.6-(extend/dev) you have to write Hrv Jasak h.jasak[at]wikki.co.uk an email.
He said so on OpenFOAM Workshop in Gothenburg, and if you ask kindly, I believe that he will provide you the actual (beta) version.

He seems to be very busy at the moment, maybe it is not that easy to change to git as they annonced a switch to git (but SVN support we also available).

I also would like to get my fingers on OF 1.6-(extend/dev)

The last thing I heard is that there's not going to be OpenFOAM 1.6-dev...

Hrv speaks of "OpenFOAM Extend" so the next Version might be better called 1.6-extent and not 1.6-dev.
slide 20 New Features in Upcoming Release => merge with OpenFOAM-1.6.x:

slide 30 => 1.6-ext will be released and maintained through Git

so there will be a new 1.6-ext version.
