Spatially-Varying Body Force

Hello all,

Hopefully the learned among us can shed some light on this for me. I've not come across this sort of thing in the forums (my apologies if I've missed it and needlessly reposted!)

I'm working on getting a pressure term in my momentum equation to be not only time varying (as it is now) but spatially varying. Something to the tune of P(x,t)=a*cos(kx-wt), that kind of thing. As you can imagine I'm studying wave motion near a flat bottom. I'm not at all interested what's going on near any sort of free surface. My run is simply a half-channel.

I'd be completely content if someone could point me in the direction of a solver that applies a spatially-varying force. Hopefully I could tease the code out from that.

Barring that possibilty, how the heck would someone go about that?

Thanks so much as always for any help you might be able to lend!
