Hi everyone,
We are undergraduate Naval Engineering students and we want to estimate a ship's resistance using OpenFoam. We are beginners in CFD so we want as simple instructions as possible. We have the ship's geometry in an IGS file and we have installed openfoam and netgen so far. How so we start? Thanx! Last edited by chripp; November 3, 2010 at 08:16. |

Check this thread:
http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...ship-flow.html But know that this is not a trivial problem! What sort of ship are you trying to predict resistance for? |

Thanks for the thread! I am trying to predict resistance for a big tanker ship. Should i upload the igs file for you?
