installation OF-1.7.1
 

Hi,

I'm trying to install OF-1.7.1 on a 32 bit PC with ubuntu 10.04, but I have trouble with setting the path.
Here 's the message I get after using the checking system script foamInstallationTest :

WARNING: Conflicting installations:
OpenFOAM settings : /home/lynda1/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.7.1/applications/bin/linuxGccDPOpt/icoFoam
current path :
CRITICAL ERROR

Read this post: Building OpenFOAM1.7.0 from source post #4 and onward
There you'll find which packages you need to install for building OpenFOAM in Ubuntu :) The rest is as simple as following the page you were reading in www.openfoam.com.

Also, when running Allwmake, you might want to run it like this:
This way you will keep a log of the build process and in case there are errors, you can compress it and post it here, so we can figure out what happened.
