Vorticity field -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

aghsin New Member sina Join Date: Jul 2013 Posts: 21 Rep Power: 12	hello everyone, I have 3 velocity fields Ua = Ub -Uc, then I calculate the vorticty field using the vorticity application in openfoam and applied the vorticity application on each velocity field individually. Since curl is a linear operator I expect to have such a correlation: vorticity(Ua) = vorticity(Ub) - vorticitiy(Uc). but this condition is not satisfied. anybody has any idea?
