how to set the timevarying uniform value of internalField?
does someone knows how to set the internalField value which vary with time in an unsteady simulation? i know that there is a timeVaryingUniformFixedValue for BC,but which one for internalField?

Hi Jianxi,
you don't have to put a time varying value for the internalField as it already behaves like this. Put an "uniform value" in /0 folders and it will vary by itself during the calculation. |
thank you Sam! my computational model is that a body move in a field with a constant velocity in the x direction but in the y direction with a time-varying velocity. So i just have to set a time-varying boundary conditions but not the internalfield values?

InternalField is not a boundary condition, it's an INITIAL condition. Which means that it's set only at the begining and re-calculated during the simulation.
If you have constant speed in the x direction, set a constant speed BC on your x-normal inlet wall. To set the time varying BC in the Y direction, set the Y speed vasying BC on one of your Y-normal walls, and set the pressure on the opposite Y-normal wall. This may not converge, y recommend that you have some fixed walls in your model, separating the different inlet and outlet patches. I'll upload a drawing to explain myself |

i will try it. i hope that can work. thanks! |
