Hi,
In Openfoam for LES I know that you can implement a function in the controlDict file which calculates average velocity at each point based on all the time steps. If this is not implemented before the simulations begins, is there a way to do this now the simulation has finished ? FoamCalc perhaps? regards Ollie |

Hi Ollie,
for run time averaging: have a look at the fieldAverage function http://foam.sourceforge.net/doc/Doxy....html#_details http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...ldaverage.html gregor PS: sorry i misunderstood your post. i am not aware of an existing post pro averaging tool. but writing your own shouldn't be too hard. Check this thread
http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...rocessing.html The only problem I found with this postaverage utility is it only uses the time data you saved, opposed to the fieldaverage function in run time that uses all timestep data. |
