Hello world,

I have a relatively simple problem: I took a simple geometry from solidWorks, imported into salome, meshed it there, imported into gmsh and finally imported into openfoam using gmshToFoam. Now the geometry is 'almost' like a rectangular tube, with an inlet condition one side and outlet condition on the other side and the rest of the boundaries are walls. I use sonicFoam to solve the case, and the case runs alright except for one major problem: I can see the pressure wave propagating in paraview, but the velocity wave is, for some reason unknown to me, is confined on the inlet wall. Why is the pressure wave going through but the velocity wave isn't?

I'm attaching the case file, it's very simple. Somebody kindly look at it and tell me what I am doing wrong. please help!!!

If you want you can try run the case on your machine and stop after a couple micro-seconds to see that the pressure wave goes through and velocity stays. Just type sonicFoam to solve.

ANY HELP APPRECIATED!

~Ammar.
