dear Foamers,
which solver is suitable for the following application: The flow and heat transfer problem of a fluid film over an unsteady stretching sheet is considered. The fluid is incompressible thanks in advance. |

For the above mentioned problem, bouyantBoussinesqPisoFoam suits best. It's quite simple and fits in your requirements.

hi Foamers,
here i am defining the problem, which solver suits for the following problem: An analysis is made of the temperature distribution and velocity in the flow of a viscous incompressible fluid caused by the stretching of a sheet which issues from a slit in to the fluid. Due to entrainment of the ambient fluid, this boundary layer is different from that in the Blasius flow past a flat plate. Regards, Venkat. |

I don't know which version of OpenFoam you are using. Anyways, "OpenFoam_1.6" has this solver. I am attaching those files with this thread for your further progress.

hi Tushar,
thanks for your reply, in this problem the sheet (flat plate) also moving with some velocity, so that the boundary layer is different from that of fixed flat plate, how it is similar to hot room problem. |
